Who We Are

The Downwind Pilots Association (DPA) is a group of Long Island based pilots and aviation enthusiasts who share their passion for flying through social, educational, and community service activities. Our members have a broad range of  experience, a common interest in developing future pilots, and fostering the growth and vitality of the general aviation community. DPA is a Not-For-Profit Corporation registered with New York State and the IRS.

The Downwind Pilots Association not only gives pilots opportunities to fly with other enthusiasts, but also finds ways to contribute to the community. As an organization, members will take part in events ranging from a scenic dinner flight to charity events that make a difference.

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm.
